Made entirely from Sangiovese vineyards in Castelbuono dell'Abate, the Brunello di Montalcino from the Tassi winery is a still red, aged 36 months in medium-sized wooden barrels.
The 2016 vintage is universally recognized as exceptional, thanks to the climate. The result is a pronounced and slender wine, which is essential by touching the right spheres of blood orange, parched sage, dehydrated cherries and dehydrated chamomile. The 2012 Riserva, the last vintage signed by Franco Biondi-Santi, was produced with the Sangiovese Grosso BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi 11) clone, identified and selected by Biondi-Santi at Tenuta Greppo in the seventies. From Pecorino grapes, a very popular blend in Marche and Abruzzo, a fresh and savory wine, with an intense yellow color, which emanates delicate floral scents of jasmine, citrus and ginger.
The hand-picked grapes from the Pianella and / or Loreto Aprutino vineyards are placed in small boxes and transported to the cellar, to be crushed and pressed thanks to a small crusher-destemmer and an ancient press. Contesa dei Venti is a 100% Nero d'Avola, produced in South Eastern Sicily, in the Vittoria Estate.

In the mouth it is fresh with a pleasant return of fruity notes and a soft and enveloping tannin, with a persistent and elegant finish.
