Sicilian winery specialized in the production of Biodynamic wines
In Sicily, in the heart of the Madonie park, a few kilometers from Palermo, there is a small jewel set between the sea and the mountains: an ancient Benedictine abbey where already in the 12th century the resident monks produced excellent wines, among the most popular in Sicilian baronial and bishop's tables.
Abbazia Santa Anastasia cultivates native and international varieties. Thanks to the company philosophy, the indigenous yeasts and the pedoclimatic characteristics, the grapes have peculiarities typical of this part of Sicily and allow the production of unique wines, expression of the terroir that originates them.
In the cellar all the qualities produced on the estate are processed, refined and aged. The structure is equipped with modern oenological equipment, while maintaining a close link with tradition and with a production philosophy based on respect for its ecosystem. The rooms are thermoregulated and well insulated through the use of special construction materials such as cork, wood and others of natural origin. The aging of the wines goes through steel, vitrified concrete or wood.

Abbazia Santa Anastasia cultivates its lands and directs production in respect of nature and the safeguarding of the ecosystem of which it is part. The organic production method, applied in the company for over fifteen years, has been converted into biodynamic: a further step towards a production that fully respects the natural organoleptic qualities of grapes and wines, without the use of additives and synthetic adjuvants. The installation of a photovoltaic system of 750 square meters of silicon panels, able to cover 80% of the energy needs of the structure, dates back to 2007. For the remainder, a supply of energy from renewable, sustainable and traceable sources was chosen.

A BIO white wine obtained from a blend of two native vines: 70% Sauvignon and 30% Chardonnay which has a straw yellow color with some greenish reflections.

A biodynamic white wine that shows a very clear straw yellow with some golden reflections.
It is a white wine that is obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes, and which boasts the Demeter certification, thanks to its careful biodynamic agriculture.
It is a wine with a soft, enveloping taste, with some notes of honey, ginger, chamomile and vanilla.
Sensinverso pure Biodynamic Nero d'Avola red wine Demeter certified
A very fragrant and elegant biodynamic red wine, which enjoys Demeter certification, the largest private certification body for biodynamic agriculture.
At sight it has a ruby red color with some purplish reflections, while the nose is very rich as well as being very inviting, thanks to the fruity hints of cherry, raspberry, blood orange and blackberry, also accompanied by star anise, vanilla, carob and cinnamon.
