The Mamertino Rosso DOC by Cantine Lipari is a refined and characterful wine, a true expression of Sicilian winemaking tradition. Celebrated since ancient Rome — it was Julius Caesar’s favorite wine — this label still stands out today for its authenticity and artisanal quality.

Made from Nero d’Avola, Nocera and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, this red wine is vinified in wood with a 6–7 day maceration on the skins and aged for 7 months in tonneaux followed by 6 months in the bottle. The result is a smooth, full-bodied and persistent wine, captivating from the very first sip.

The Mamertino Rosso is a natural wine, free from chemical additives or artificial treatments, preserving the genuine taste of its grapes and terroir. Any natural sediment is proof of its artisanal, unfiltered character.

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color, with aromas of ripe red fruits and gentle spicy notes. On the palate, it is velvety, balanced and lingering — perfect with red meats, game, aged cheeses or traditional Mediterranean dishes.
