Rosso del Conte 2018 DOC. A historic Nero d'Avola from the Tasca d'Almerita winery
HISTORY
Rosso del Conte is one of the most historic wines of the Tasca d'Almerita winery. It was born in the Regaleali estate, in the San Lucio vineyard, a historic winery that has been producing wonderful vintages of Rosso del Conte since 1959.
Two varieties coexist in this vineyard: Perricone and Nero d'Avola, which are late grapes, in fact they ripen between the end of September and the beginning of October.
This wine is a faithful expression of the territory from which it was born, i.e. the high hills, in fact on the aromatic level the Rosso del Conte does not exceed in overly ripe notes even if it guarantees excellent maturation.
Over time it has encountered different types of aging techniques: chestnut barrels, Slavonian oak, French oak barrels, but it has always maintained its particular identity.
