The “muscatedda” is the local name of the first vineyard to be harvested in the Val di Noto.

“Prima vigna muscatedda” comes from the only native white grape variety in the Val di Noto area, the Moscato di Noto. Aromatic vine used for the production of natural sweet, passito and liqueur wines, interpreted in a dry version

This biodynamic white from Marabino was born like all the wines of the Marabino Cellars with the aim of being a wine that reflects and enhances the territory from which it comes.

Soil - Limestone with fine texture

Vineyard extension - 1.5 ha

Training system - Spurred cordon (6,000 vines per hectare)

Height above sea level - 44 m

Exposure - West

Yield per hectare - 50 quintals/ha – 32hl/ha

Agriculture - Biodynamic, without herbicides, without chemical and/or synthetic treatments and/or fertilizations, pesticide treatments limited to low doses of mine sulfur and propolis; fertilizations limited to biodynamic preparations, shredded pruning and green manure of grasses and legumes.

Vinification - With indigenous yeasts in steel tanks with the skins.

Filtration - 5 microns

Clarify - no

Maturation - In steel, bottled in the spring following the harvest.

Overall Production - Approximately 6,000

Tips and combinations:

Very aromatic, fresh with an engaging flavor, it goes well with appetizers and fish main courses such as red snapper with rosemary.

Fabulous accompanied with raw fish! Perfect for shellfish and oysters!
