For a long time, high quality and quality cold cuts have been produced in the Nebrodi mountains.
Our cheek is prepared from an artisan salami factory perched on the Nebrodi Mountains and stands out for its taste and its sweetness.
The pork cheek is the proceeds of a cut of pork meat formed from the part of fine fat that goes from the neck to the cheek. The composition of the cheek is different from the lard, which instead represents the dorsal portion of the covering fat with very few parts of muscle, and is in turn different from the pancetta, which is obtained instead from the belly fat.
Once the cut of meat, which includes the rind, is obtained, proceed with the processing of the cheek with salt, pepper and aromatic spices, then move on to the seasoning.
It is used in the kitchen to prepare many dishes, from appetizers to first courses, to sauces. The amatriciana sauce is one of the most famous, but as a good Sicilian we recommend adding it to the pasta with the pistachio pesto!
The pork cheek is sold in vacuum-packed slices of about 200-300 grams, by selecting from the drop-down menu you can choose the weight and size you prefer
