A red wine born on the slopes of Etna from Nerello Mascalese grapes.
It is a very elegant, fresh and tasty wine that ages partly in French oak barriques and partly in concrete tanks.
At sight it has a ruby red color with some slight garnet reflections, while the aroma is intriguing, complex. In the mouth it is structured, elegant and has good freshness as well as a delicate flavor. The tannins are ripe and balanced, and the finish is long and persistent.
Perfect for meat and mature cheeses.

Tax includedA red wine that is born at the foot of the Etna volcano, and that the Duca di Salaparuta winery takes care of right from the harvest of the grapes, which still takes place as per tradition in small boxes.
These are Nerello Mascalese grapes, a typical Sicilian vine; this winery takes care of its grapes immediately after harvesting, first carrying out a soft pressing, and after an alcoholic fermentation of the must which takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Once the wine is born, it is aged partly in cement tanks and partly in French oak barriques, all for about 12 months. Finally it also ages in the bottle for about 3 months.
It is a red wine that is ruby red to the eye with some slight garnet reflections.
While on the nose it presents an intriguing and complex bouquet, where small red fruits are well perceived, and balsamic and mineral sensations that blend with vanilla and spicy notes.
In the mouth it is structured and elegant, with good freshness and good flavor. The tannins are balanced, and the finish is long and persistent.

HARVEST Manual harvest of the grapes in small boxes once they have reached perfect ripeness
VINIFICATION: Destemming of the grapes followed by soft pressing of the same. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (28°C). After racking, the wine obtained undergoes malolactic fermentation in the same tanks
AGING: The wine is partly aged in concrete tanks and partly aged in French oak barriques for approximately 12 months.
