Tax includedThe production process of Modica Chocolate with White Figs from Cilento DOP follows the same tradition that makes Modica chocolate unique in the world. The cocoa is cold-ground, without the addition of cocoa butter or other fats, and is mixed with cane sugar which, thanks to the low processing temperature, does not melt completely. This preserves the typical grainy consistency of the product.
At this point the white fig from Cilento DOP comes into play. The figs are added in the form of powder or dehydrated figs, depending on the recipe, and blend with the chocolate, giving the bar a fruity flavour and natural sweetness. The white figs do not overwhelm the intensity of the cocoa, but complement it with a sweet and soft note, which balances the flavour of the chocolate, offering a sophisticated and harmonious taste experience.
