List of products by brand Cantina Florio
Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio, the Cantine Florio di Marsala overlook the sea of western Sicily.
Enveloped by the energy of the winds, made savory by the sea, the cellars welcome, beautiful and silent, the oak woods where the Marsala Florio refine in an apparently motionless movement.
Hundreds of barrels, vats and kegs, each with its own story, breathe the sea through the tuff floor, in the high naves where perfumes and architecture mix.
In this wonderful place, where the Sicilian idea of beauty is distilled, the winemaker Tommaso Maggio, through the wise use of space, time and oxygen, creates Marsala in its many organoleptic forms
Cantine Florio: since 1833 the Sicilian Marsalas number one in the world
Enveloped by the energy of the winds, made savory by the sea, the cellars welcome, beautiful and silent, the oak woods where the Marsala Florio refine in an apparently motionless movement.
Hundreds of barrels, vats and kegs, each with its own story, breathe the sea through the tuff floor, in the high naves where perfumes and architecture mix.
In this wonderful place, where the Sicilian idea of beauty is distilled, the winemaker Tommaso Maggio, through the wise use of space, time and oxygen, creates Marsala in its many organoleptic forms.
The Florio Cellars, with their high naves and their tuff floor, consist of four naves lapped by the sea. Four different climatic environments enrich the tools provided to the oenologist.
Each winery tells a different art, a different complicity with the sea. “Brackish” temperature and humidity feed the Marsala wines during the long aging process. The climatic environment of aging changes significantly away from the sea, characterizing the organoleptic personality of the wine.
Approaching the sea, the temperature decreases, while the "brackish" humidity increases. Approaching the sea, the Marsala wines are enriched with hints of seaweed and flavor. The more you move towards the apex of the cellars, the more the influence of temperature and lower humidity, it gives the Marsala more complex tertiary aromas.
The Florio Cellars breathe the surrounding environment, with its seasons, its hot summers and rainy winters, its warm southern winds, and share the surrounding environment with oak woods, giving personality and color to the aging Marsalas.
Florio Wine, the first white wine of Cantine Florio
Vino Florio, the first white wine of the historic Cantina Florio, very famous for the Marsala wine
Cantina Florio has always been synonymous with great Marsalas, but this time Florio has decided to create something new for the cellar: the first Florio white wine.
It is an unfiltered white wine, which improves over time thanks to a continuous organoleptic evolution.
It has a vibrant yellow colour, with scents of flowery fields and the sea, all translated into a very rich and savory character thanks also to the high alcohol content.
