This Sicilian DOC Sparkling White Wine is created from a very small quality production, which is the result of an extreme selection of the grapes in the vineyard.
Its potential is best expressed thanks to the refinement that takes place on the yeasts for 86 months, a process thanks to which this Classic Method enjoys an extraordinary organoleptic complexity.
In color this Brut Millesimato Spumante appears a brilliant straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is large and elegant, combining aromas of white currant and white plum, with notes of sage and rosemary.
Fresh and refined flavors stand out on the palate, with good minerality, which leave an aromatic and savory finish in the mouth.
This is a refined Limited Edition, only 391 bottles produced.

Tax includedThis Limited Edition Brut Millesimato Sparkling Wine is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes; in fact, only 391 bottles are produced.
Specifically, this Classic Method was born on the Tenuta Contessa Entellina, from a very small production of grapes.
The harvest of this selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes takes place manually in boxes, and takes place in the first ten days of August. A characteristic of these grapes is also that of having been harvested in the highest vineyards of the winery, approximately 470-500 meters above sea level, which are well ventilated and give the grapes a good structure and high acidity, ideal characteristics for the production of this Classic Method Sparkling Wine.
Once these grapes arrive in the cellar, they first undergo a further selection on the vibrating table, and then undergo soft pressing.
The fermentation is carried out in steel at around 15°-16°C, and then a further refermentation takes place in the bottle. After this step the Brut is aged on the yeasts for 86 months, a step thanks to which this wine acquires an extraordinary complexity, which is its main characteristic.
This vintage, 2013, was characterized by a regular climate trend, with a mild winter and a cool spring.
The label of this special Limited Edition was born from a wonderful illustration by Stefano Vitale. The author was inspired by the precious illuminated manuscripts of the Middle Ages, re-proposing the woman symbol of all Donnafugata sparkling wines: an elegant figure, portrayed in the moment of tasting a glass among the vineyards. The sumptuous "B", initial of Brut, encloses and exalts the protagonist. The original background color recalls the lapis lazuli powder which together with the gold embellishes this artist's label.
The package also shows the number of the 391 bottles that make up this small valuable production.
Thanks to its qualitative depth, Spumante B 2013 is a Classic Method for the whole meal, which in particular can be combined with dishes of greater flavor intensity based on fish or meat.
