The Risignolo Estate, in Central-Western Sicily, is characterized by marvelous expanses of fields beaten by the warm Mediterranean sun, where wine is a constituent element of a great cultural tradition and the vineyards, caressed by a light brackish breeze, follow the profile of the hills until you reach the sea.
The clayey soil rich in humus, which has always been suited to wine production, and the hot-arid climate, with a strong temperature range, allow white grapes such as Grillo and Insolia to give their best.
The vineyards of origin insist on mixed soils, mainly siliceous-clayey, at an altitude of about 300 meters above the sea level. During the vinification, 55% of the free-run must was fermented in small new oak barrels for about 40 days. The refinement took place for a few months in concrete tanks plus a further 3 months in the bottle.
