Immersed in the Trapani countryside, in the most planted area of Italy, between Mount Erice and the Egadi islands, on soft hills at an altitude between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, the luxuriant rows of Tenuta Gelso Grande stretch out , the heart of the “Feudi Branciforti dei Bordonaro” production.
This is a territory whose history has always been based on agriculture, which develops sublime in quality enology. Gelso Grande preserves the ability to accommodate different vines, always respecting the most authentic specificities, where each variety finds its maximum expression in a natural way.
Fresh and aromatic catarratto, grown within the area of Trapani, under constant ventilation from the Mediterranean Sea, reveals a pleasant acidity that enhances the elegance and smell. It shows the Goblet of straw yellow color with light golden reflections. The palate with light hints of peach blossoms and wisteria, reserving, in the final, delicate notes of aniseed. Ideal for an aperitif on the nightfall goes happily with crudités seafood, tempura shrimp and reef fish.
