Antica Cioccolateria Bonajuto: since 1880 the oldest Sicilian master confectioners
Bonajuto chocolate is solely composed of cocoa mass, sugar and spices, the latter being the last link with those distant peoples whose history in a certain sense belongs to us and whose beliefs about the beneficial powers of chocolate have been handed down over time.
The history of our chocolate unfolds along a single common thread which, historically proceeding backwards, unites Sicily and in particular the County of Modica to Spain and finally finds its roots in the wonderful Meso-American ceremonial civilization, that of the Aztecs, the ancient inhabitants of Mexico.
The Bonajuto family: six generations of confectionery artisans
It was 1880 when Francesco Bonajuto, following in his father's footsteps, opened his small confectionery shop immersed in the marvelous Baroque of Modica; from that shop, delicacies of Arab and Spanish origin began to emerge, fruit of a centuries-old tradition. He continued for years with passion and meticulousness his activity in the hope of not making the art that had raised him and of which he had become an extraordinary interpreter disappear forever.
Today he would certainly be satisfied knowing that Dolceria Bonajuto is still there where he founded it and still represents an important point of reference for that tradition to which he was so attached.

In this new version "Single Origin Tanzania" has a very intense flavor with a strong character and an aromatic profile in which the primary note of cocoa stands out with spicy and woody notes.
