In fact, only 10% of the reserves of the Martinez winery are placed on the market after being patiently aged in oak barrels.
The aging, processing and bottling compartments are gathered in a single beam of about 6,000 square meters. The Martinez winery is mainly made of tuff, a typical material of the area that avoids temperature changes and keeps the humidity high. The Martinez cellar becomes the ideal place for aging Marsala wines in wood. With a view to continuous improvement, a gradual restructuring process of the Martinez cellar has been carried out over the last decade in order to respect and enhance its original characteristics.
