Tornatore's Etna Bianco DOC "Zottorinotto" 2019 comes from pure Carricante grapes, harvested by hand in the vineyard in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the north side of the volcano. Fermentation and aging in contact with the noble lees are carried out in French oak barriques. A white with a sincere territorial character, which combines elegance and power.
All these qualities make it the ideal white for second courses based on fish and white meats.
Vintage: 2019
Produced on the north side of Etna, in Contrada Pietrarizzo, from which it takes its name, this wine represents one of the most prized Crus for the natives of the area.
The grape varieties used, Carricante and a small percentage of Catarratto, give this white a delicate, savory and fresh flavor with a nice persistence, accentuated by the aromas of grapefruit, white fruit and exotic fruit, with delicately spicy nuances.
Ideal to combine with cheeses, white meats, first and second courses of fish and shellfish.

"Vrucara is the name of the cru from which the grapes come. The name originates from a vineyard whose land has always been called "Vrucara". It takes this name because the vruca is widely present, in Sicilian it is the name of a bush that spontaneously grows around the vineyard. This herb with a mentholated scent mixed with incense oil. "Transferred" into the ancient vine plants, unique, characteristics that we find later in the wine."
The Vrucara is the label that is a bit the symbol of this winery, which comes from old prephyloxxera vines.
