Barone Montalto's Viognier Collezione di Famiglia is born in the vineyards located in the province of Trapani, one of the most suitable areas for viticulture in Sicily. The mild climate, with hot and breezy summers, and the mineral-rich soil create the ideal conditions for the cultivation of Viognier, ensuring high-quality grapes with perfect ripeness.

Viognier Collezione di Famiglia has a brilliant straw yellow color, characterized by golden reflections that recall the warm Sicilian sunsets.

On the nose it stands out for an unmistakable aromatic profile. The floral notes of white flowers and jasmine combine with hints of exotic fruit such as pineapple and mango, while a delicate background of citrus and bitter almond adds a dimension of complexity. It is a wine that captures the essence of the Mediterranean, with aromas that evoke the sunny days and pristine landscapes of Sicily.

In the mouth it offers a rounded and enveloping tasting experience. The flavors of ripe fruit, such as yellow peach and apricot, blend harmoniously with a pleasant freshness and a light minerality.

GRAPE VARIETY: Nero d'Avola

AREA OF ORIGIN Valle del Belice, dark alluvial and deep soils, medium texture, clay-sandy silt composition, with good organic substance content from which elegant and well-structured wines are derived, balanced and persistent

HARVEST: The harvest takes place towards the end of August, beginning of September.

FERMENTATION: Vinified with a 12-hour skin contact at 4°C and subsequently fermented in steel for 20 days at 12-14°C - 3 months of refinement with weekly bâtonnage

PAIRINGS Sushi, oysters, shellfish, seafood salad seasoned with extra virgin olive oil. Serving temperature 10-12°C
