Shamaris is a wine produced with Grillo grapes in the Presti and Pegni di Cusumano estate in Monreale
It is very pleasant, and thanks to a slightly fruity flavor it is able to immediately express the aromas and flavors of the area, thanks to a bouquet rich in yellow fruit, aromatic herbs and orange blossom.
On the palate it is soft, fruity and intense.
Shamaris is a pure Grillo, very fresh and fruity, which comes from one of the most beautiful white grape varieties in Sicily.
It is produced in Monreale, near Palermo, on the Presti and Pegni estate at 500 meters above sea level.
The vineyards are very "young", about 7 years old.
The harvest is done manually towards the first ten days of September, and the grapes, after being cold macerated, are delicately pressed and decanted, always cold.
The must then ferments in steel at about 18°-20°, and then is left to mature in steel tanks on the fine lees for 4 months, finally it is then left to refine in the bottle for a few months.
This Grillo di Cusumano is a white with a very fresh, harmonious and Mediterranean profile.
It has a straw yellow color, the scent is citrus, fruity and hints of some tropical fruit.
The taste is well structured, and balanced by a good mineral freshness, with a very persistent finish
