This fruit is candied by Master Pastry Chef Giulio of Capo d'Orlando with the classic Italian method, this method requires twenty days to naturally reach the optimal level of candying. Once the candying process is finished, the fruits are preserved in their candying liquid in elegant glass jars.
Cut in half, quarters or slices, candied fruits are not only perfect as an ingredient to be used in pastry making or at home for the preparation of desserts, they are also excellent as an accompaniment to cheeses. Finally, eaten at the end of a meal instead of fruit, they become an excellent dessert to end a dinner or lunch on a sweet note.
