Adènzia White – Grillo and Insolia DOC Sicilia

Adènzia Bianco by Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is a DOC Sicilia white in which Grillo and Insolia combine “into something of greater value than the sum of their parts”.

Profound driving forces and the will to listen – what Sicilians call “dare adènzia” – and an insistence on clarity, in an act of understanding that is life itself.

Territory and winemaking

The grapes grow on the Campobello di Licata estate, on mainly calcareous hillside soils with dark patches, at around 260 metres above sea level. Grillo is harvested between late August and early September, Insolia in the first ten days of September. Hand-picking, artisanal winemaking and ageing all take place at the winery, with Riccardo Cotarella as consultant winemaker.

In the words of winemaker Riccardo Cotarella: “Delicious notes of citrus fruits, with white peach, medlar and pineapple. Round yet fresh, with full fruit flavours kept lively by well-balanced acidity.”
