In this wine there is the story of King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon and of the Real Casina di Caccia di Ficuzza. Here, in the 1800s, the sovereign kept his own wine, produced with grapes from the vineyards located around the Ficuzza estate.
Davide and Antonio, the brothers who manage this winery, wanted to imagine what the wine drunk could be like in the times of the King, thus giving birth to Salealto, a "vin de terroir", obtained from Insolia and Zibibbo grapes in equal parts, before vinified separately and then aged together.

Tax includedSalealto is one of the finest wines of the Cusumano winery, which is produced on the Ficuzza estate.
Its name, "Salealto" has a double meaning, both the imprint that the salt gives to this wine, and the altitude from which the vineyards come, located about 700 meters above sea level.
It is created from a blend of Insolia, Zibibbo divided into equal parts.
The result of this blend is a wine with a strong territorial identity, which is expressed in a very fresh way, a little salty and also rich in aromas, with some notes of Mediterranean grass, citrus fruits and some sea breeze.
In the glass it shows a very bright and intense straw yellow, while the bouquet is intense, broad and with some aromatic hints of sage, Mediterranean scrub and some hints of the sea too.
On the palate it is fresh, pleasantly salty and slightly aromatic.
