C'D'C' Red – Terre Siciliane IGP

C'D'C' (Cristo di Campobello) Rosso is a Terre Siciliane IGP red made from four grapes grown on the Baglio del Cristo di Campobello estate: Nero d’Avola, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A wine that tells the story of the Agrigento area of Sicily and the many peoples who made it their home, expressed through the estate’s red grapes.

Territory and winemaking

The vineyards lie on the hills of Campobello di Licata, on medium-textured soils between 230 and 260 metres above sea level. Grapes are hand-picked into small crates, followed by traditional red vinification with 10-15 days of skin maceration at controlled temperature, around six months in stainless steel and at least six months in bottle.

Tasting profile

In the words of winemaker Riccardo Cotarella: “Full, fruity aromas, with soft red fruit notes and a hint of balsam. Round and flavourful, soft and caressing, with soft tannins.” Delightful now, but it can also be cellared for a few years.

Food pairing and serving

Offering outstanding value for money, it pairs beautifully with red meat, cheeses, eggs and cured meats. An excellent all-round food wine.
