It is one of the oldest dairy preparations produced on the island. Made with almost entirely sheep's milk, with part of goat and cow's milk, Primo Sale is a low-seasoning cheese and for this reason it is still slightly soft and with a pleasant taste.
In this version it is seasoned with Sicilian orange peel, for all lovers of Sicilian cheeses and citrus fruits!
Whole medium-sized wheels can weigh from 1 to 2 kg. On Gocce di Sicilia it is possible to buy it in vacuum-packed pieces ranging from 250 to 600 grams.
Our cheese is handcrafted on the Nebrodi Mountains in the territory of Maniace, in the Nebrodi park, with ancient methods and milk from farms in eastern Sicily.
Typical cheese of Sicilian recipes, it is very versatile in the kitchen. It can be consumed as a table cheese or to flavor other dishes, both cooked and raw.
