Reginelle - Traditional shortbread biscuits covered with sesame - Typical Sicilian product

Crunchy shortbread biscuits, typical of the Sicilian tradition, mainly from Palermo but widespread throughout Sicily. Produced following a simple and tasty recipe, these delicious shortbread biscuits have the particularity of being entirely covered with sesame seeds or "cimino", an element already used in the decoration of Sicilian bread, which gives it a dry, vaguely toasted aroma.

Called Reginelle or Regina biscuits, in Sicilian dialect are the "biscotti 'nciminati"; however you want to call them we can confirm that once tried, these simple biscuits, with their unmistakable smell and taste, will always be part of your pantry.

Ideal to eat alone, at breakfast or as a snack ... perfect with tea.
