The Fuligni company covers about one hundred hectares, fully cultivated, in an almost continuous strip of land on the north-eastern side of Montalcino, where historically the most classic production of Brunello has arisen.
The vineyards have a total extension of fourteen hectares and are located primarily in the "I Cottimelli" area at an altitude ranging from 380 to 450 meters above sea level. Here the land, predominantly exposed to the north-east, belongs entirely to the geological formation of S. Fiora (galestro), of Eocene origin and is made up of a prevalently stony skeleton. Other vineyards, more specifically destined for the production of Rosso di Montalcino and igt wines, are located further east, around the 18th-century villa “San Giovanni a Semiti”, now used as farmhouse accommodation.

The oenological care of Fuligni wines is entrusted to the great experience of dr. Paolo Vagaggini one of the greatest experts of the Tuscan Sangiovese grape. In fact, the relationship of the Vagaggini family dates back to the sixties of the last century when the consulting firm of the same name was managed by Dr. Francesco Vagaggini father of Paolo. But the relationship with the Vagaggini family has recently been enriched with the young experience of Dr. Jacopo graduated from Oxford and specialized in Bordeaux who closely collaborates with his father.
Brunello di Montalcino Fuligni, aged as per law 4 years, of which 2 and a half, and sometimes even 3, in wooden barrels, has characteristics of excellent longevity, although it is also suitable for a more immediate consumption, compared to the "Riserva" .
In its elegant synthesis of fruit and spicy scents, Brunello Fuligni is the result of important, carefully selected grapes from low yields per hectare but above all it is not produced in years in which the quality level of the grapes harvested does not meet the high standard. corporate.
