Caeles Viognier I.G.T Sicilian Lands Biologic Wine - Cantine Firriato

This white wine comes from an international white grape variety, which, however, due to its organoleptic characteristics, has found its natural habitat in the countryside of Trapani, where some of the Firriato winery's vineyards are born.

The estate where it was born takes the name of "Dagala Borromeo", and thanks to its characteristics, the climatic context and the clayey soil, it gives the Viognier grapes organoleptic components of the highest profile.

The result that comes out is a delicate and very fine white wine, which stands out for its persistence and its acidity.

On the nose this white wine offers floral and fruity scents with some notes of yellow peach and medlar.

This Caeles Viognier goes very well with fish first or second courses, but it goes even better with excellent seafood crudités.

Since the early 1980s, Salvatore Di Gaetano's winemaking passion has been attracted by a particular place, the district of Firriato, in the extraordinary countryside of the city of Trapani, an agricultural area deeply marked by the cultivation of vines and the culture of wine, located between the beautiful sea of ​​the Trapani coast and the majestic fortress of the ancient city of Erice.

Behind a great wine there is always a great wine-growing area with characterizing soil and climatic conditions. All the agricultural estates of Firriato have a particularity, for exposure, microclimate, soil composition and ventilation. From east to west, we pass from mountain viticulture on the Etna volcano, to that of the sea of ​​the Egadi islands on the island of Favignana, passing through the exclusive contexts of the Trapani countryside. The company's philosophy puts everything at the center of everything: method, territory, pride and iron-clad love. To present the excellence of Sicily and Sicilian wines to the world.

Caeles Grillo is a pure wine of Grillo grapes grown on the Borgo Guarini estate, in the Trapani countryside. Certified organic and vegan, it was born in a very particular cru characterized by a basically silty soil that gives a feeling of greasiness between the fingers. Caeles Grillo, interpreting the multifaceted terroir of Borgo Guarini, is presented as a white of marked sapidity with an intense straw yellow color and an acidic shoulder that gives immediate elegance. The bouquet is complex and has a strong personality thanks to the aromatic contribution of the thiols, aromatic precursors of this grape and responsible for those fresh and exotic fragrances, such as pink grapefruit and passion fruit, which are immediately perceived in the glass together with nuances of Mediterranean scrub. A clean, vertical wine, capable of overcoming any consumer prejudices on possible defects of organic wines.
