Favinia Le Sciabbiche from Perricone and Nero d'Avola grapes, the red from Favignana certified IGT Terre Siciliane - Cantina Firriato
Favinia Le Sciabbiche is the "Red of the Egadi". Thanks to the union between Nero d'Avola and Perricone, the result is a red wine with a very consistent flavor and a wonderful bouquet.
Nero d'Avola and Perricone are two historic vines of Sicilian oenology, two native red grape vines that in Favignana find a sea terroir that gives them that extra touch that gives Favinia Le Sciabbiche excellent fragrances.
At sight, this red wine from Firriato has a very intense and compact color with shades that tend towards purple.
On the nose, however, it presents a bouquet that begins with nuances of black currants and blueberries and deepens with delicate spices, blond tobacco and fresh balsamic notes.
In the mouth it has a very consistent flavour, thanks to a fragrant pulp which is accompanied by noble, enveloping and very fine tannins. In the background there is also a marked minerality and a marked flavor, two characteristics that are given by the proximity to the wonderful sea of Favignana.
