This Nobile di Montepulciano comes from the Cantina De' Ricci, which is a historic cellar in Montepulciano.
It is a red that is born in the hills of vineyards at about 400-500 meters above sea level.
The wine is produced with only Sangiovese grapes (called Prugnolo gentile in that area), which are partially pressed and then vinified in steel vats at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins which lasts about 20 days.
The refinement takes place in very large barrels of about 20 hl, and then continues for 9 months in the bottle.
The color is a classic ruby red, the scent is sweetly fruity with some spicy notes.
While the sip is structured, sapid and with well-structured tannins.
It is ideal to combine with appetizers of cured meats and cheeses and stewed meats.
