C'D'C' White – Terre Siciliane IGP

C'D'C' (Cristo di Campobello) Bianco is a Terre Siciliane IGP white made from four grapes grown on the Baglio del Cristo di Campobello estate: Chardonnay, Grillo, Insolia and Catarratto. A wine that captures the Agrigento area of Sicily in the estate’s white grapes.

Territory and winemaking

The vineyards grow on mainly calcareous hillside soils with dark patches, at around 260 metres above sea level. Grapes are hand-picked into small crates and the whole bunches are chilled to 8-10 °C before destemming and crushing. After soft pressing, the must settles by cold decantation and, once fermented, ages on the fine lees in stainless steel for about four months, followed by at least two months in bottle.

Tasting profile

In the words of winemaker Riccardo Cotarella: “Aromas of yellow flowers, white melon and apple. Well-balanced palate, with good acidity and a soft texture. Fresh, intense fruit and citrus flavours, with notes of sweet spices and Mediterranean herbs on the finish.” Delicious now.

Food pairing and serving

Offering outstanding value for money, it is ideal with fried fish and carpaccio. Try it with linguine alle vongole, Sicilian arancini and other street-food classics.
