Montenero is the reinterpretation of the "Mannetto", the first panettone of Fiasconaro, which takes its name from the district in which the Fiasconaro generations grew up in the summer.

The dough is dark, made with Cocoa and Sicilian Chocolate and with the aroma of the typical Sicilian Lemon

Its shape recalls "a Muntagna", the historic profiterole of Mario, soul and founder of Fiasconaro. From Mario to Mario, Montenero is the son of the new generation of pastry chefs, of Mario Fiasconaro, namesake of his grandfather, who wants to pay homage and remember the beginning of his story with the same passion and dedication

In 1953, in Castelbuono, Mario Fiasconaro, opened an ice cream shop in the square in the center of the town, without knowing that shortly after, thanks to the brothers, and later, in the nineties, also thanks to the children, that bar would become the renowned historic company all over the world, which has made Sicily known for its excellence in the confectionery field. The turning point comes from an intuition of Nicola, a talented master pastry chef, who chooses to interpret the most traditional dessert of Northern Italy, Panettone, in a Mediterranean key: a great success that changes the destiny of the company, which since then has never stopped growing. But who was able to remain herself.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, butter, sugar, fresh free-range eggs 11%, yolk from fresh free-range eggs 5.9%, cocoa paste with Sicilian chocolate 5.2% (reduced cocoa powder, sunflower oil, Sicilian chocolate 10% (cocoa mass, cane sugar. Min. cocoa 50%), cocoa mass, emulsifiers: soy lecithin, vanilla pods), natural yeast (soft wheat flour), paste lemon juice 3.5% (lemon zest, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar), Sicilian honey, invert sugar syrup, emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids; cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, salt, vanilla, natural flavouring, lemon essential oil.
