Etna Rosso DOC 2018 Sicilian r ed Wine 2018 - Tornatore
The cultivation of vines and the production of wine by the Tornatore family is a tradition that dates back to 1865 when the great-grandfather of the current owner undertakes agricultural activity. In 1910, Giuseppe, the current owner's grandfather, built a house and mill and increased the hectares of vineyards. A family with deep roots in the territory of origin, which in subsequent generations, has never neglected the attachment and respect of the same and traditions, and thanks to the combination of soil, climate and wisdom of the winemakers, produces wines of the highest quality but above all special and unique.
The vineyards, cultivated on the northern side of Etna, are located at an altitude of 650 m above sea level, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia with exposure facing north.
From the union of the two native vines par excellence of the Etna area, namely the Nerello Cappuccio and the Nerello Mascalese rooted on the volcanic soils, this unique red is born, full and soft, of extraordinary flavor and minerality.
Ruby red color with faint purplish reflections, typical of the variety, delicate and delicious scents of red fruits, marasca cherry and black cherry on the nose. In the mouth it is round and full, at the same time fresh and sapid.
Perfect to drink daily, it goes very well with roasts, boiled meats and white meats.
