Summer is coming! What's better than a good Brioche with Ice Cream?

With the imminent arrival of summer, the ice cream season officially begins, and what could be better than a good and typical Brioche with Tuppo with Pistachio or Almond ice cream?!

Today we will introduce you to our two incredible kits: the Pistachio Ice Cream Kit and the Almond Ice Cream Kit

Through the ingredients that you will find inside them you can create delicious homemade ice creams, accompanying them either with pistachio grain or with the delicious Avola almonds, all within the delicious Brioche col Tuppo. A tasty and unforgettable experience awaits you, so get ready to discover the pleasure of preparing homemade ice creams with high quality ingredients.

In the Pistachio Ice Cream Kit we will find

  • n°4 Sicilian brioches with Tuppo, the delicious and traditional Sicilian brioches, which are born from an ancient recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation. In Sicilian it is commonly called "brioscia col tuppo", with tuppo because the name comes from the ancient hairstyle of Sicilian women, the traditional chignon which in Sicilian dialect is called "tuppo"
  • Pure Pistachio Paste, the ideal paste for making excellent homemade ice cream, but also excellent as a base for cakes and sweets, thanks to the use of 100% Sicilian pistachios.
  • Pistachio grains, the perfect accompaniment over pistachio ice cream.

Instead, in the Almond Gelato Kit we will find:

  • n°10 Sicilian brioche with Tuppo, always the traditional Sicilian "brioche with tuppo", which represent all the typicality of the Sicilian summer! Dipped in granita, or filled with excellent homemade ice cream, Brioche col tuppo are one of the most delicious creations of the ancient Sicilian culinary tradition
  • the Toasted Pure Sicilian Almond Paste, which gives the taste of fragrant Sicilian toasted almonds to your homemade ice cream! But it can also be used to create cakes or desserts!
  • finally, the Almonds of Avola, which placed on top of the ice cream offer a unique contrast between the crunchiness of the almonds and the creaminess of the excellent almond ice cream!

For the creation of Pistachio ice cream you can use the following ingredients:

  • 500 ml of whole milk
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 200 ml of fresh cream
  • 100 g of pure pistachio paste
  • Pistachio grain

In a saucepan, heat the milk without boiling it, then mix the sugar and egg yolks until you obtain a smooth consistency. Then transfer this mixture into the saucepan containing the hot milk, continuing to stir slowly until a fairly thick cream is created. Then leave everything to cool and mix the Pistachio Paste and Panna Fresca together with the cream. After that,. if you have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into it and let it work, otherwise put everything in a bowl and freeze it in the freezer.

Finally, open the Brioscia col Tuppo, spread the Pistachio Gelato inside and garnish with Pistachio grains, it will be a real pleasure!

To create the Almond Gelato, follow the same steps as in the previous recipe, only changing the Toasted Almond Paste for the Pistachio Paste and the Avola Almonds for the Granella!
