Antillo fully represents the Guado al Melo winery, being the youngest is the clear example of how in just under twenty years this winery has become a point of reference for the entire Bolgheri area.
The 2021 vintage was an excellent year, the rains present in the winter period perfectly supported the vineyard, despite a very dry summer, but also very windy, but which always maintained average temperatures.
In fact, this vintage produces a very balanced and fresh wine, with pleasant fruity and spicy aromas.

Antillo is the Bolgheri Doc red that reflects the history and soul of this territory, thanks both to its youth, but also to the grapes present within it: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Antillo means "place full of sun", a phrase that fully reflects the vineyards of Guado al Melo, characterized by an always intense light thanks to the proximity to the sea and the Mediterranean climate.
This wine is very balanced, it juggles between more international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot and typical grapes such as Sangiovese.
The vines grow in parcels of alluvial origin which enjoy a Mediterranean climate which is always kept cool by the Tyrrhenian winds
The must ferments at a controlled temperature and macerates in steel containers.
Aging takes place in second and third passage barriques for a year, then once bottled it is aged for another 3 months directly in glass.
The color is a fairly deep ruby red. It has a rich olfactory profile with ample fruity scents which leave a slightly spicy profile on the finish.
On the other hand, the flavor is fresh, soft and structured, with tannins that increase its final persistence.
